Virtually all of Stanford's undergraduates live on campus. Write a note to your future roommate that reveals something about you or that will help your roommate -- and us -- know you better. (100 to 250 words)
Dear future roomie,
So what is there to know about me? Here goes a little summary: I'm part mad scientist, part artist, part goof, and part adrenaline junkie.
As you might soon find out, I am a die-hard science geek and if you don't find me in our room, I'll be in the lab conducting all sorts of "mad" science experiments. Naturally I'm obsessed with the Discovery Channel, and might occasionally do some binge watching of shows like "Cosmos" and "Through the Wormhole". But, since I also have an artistic side (perhaps not so expected), you might walk in and find charcoal all over my face and clothes; still I promise not to get any of your things covered in paint. My friends back home consider me the goof of the group. Combine that with my love for cats, and I'm sure we'll probably end up on the floor laughing at funny cat videos on YouTube.
Of course, I know both of us are going to be working like crazy, but I'd love it if we could go on a ski trip sometime or even go skydiving (if you're up for it) to get our blood racing and de-stress. And one more thing. I love to dance!
Write back soon. I can't wait to get to know you better!
Your future roomie,
P.S. I have to warn you that I do snore sometimes but if it bothers you I promise to pick up some anti-snore nose stickers.
